Circles indicate location of upper air sounding sites during NAME and notation to left shows sonde frequencies during Enhanced Observing Period (EOP) and Intensive Observing Period (IOP). One degree latitude/longitude grid shows the domain on to which the upper level data sonde are analyzed at 25 mb resolution to produce horizontal maps on various pressure surfaces.
